Bored bored bored…

Considering my last two posts have been about my obsession for Grey’s Anatomy and me trying to win a giveaway... it’s pretty obvious that we haven’t been up to anything lately.  We haven’t gone anywhere… haven’t done anything…  We have been so bored lately.  Or at least I have been.

I hate sitting around the house all day every day, but I also hate going anywhere because I have to go alone (unless Mr. Right is off work) and it is exhausting trying to keep up with Sweet Pea all by myself.  Oh, and the lack of funds keeps us home a lot.  Oh, and the fact that I have to drive 45 minutes to an hour to get anywhere worth going to.  So anyway… we just don’t get out much lately.

So, it’s just been the same old routine every day…  Wake up, eat breakfast, play, take a nap, wake up, eat lunch, play, take another nap, wake up, play, eat supper, play, take a bath, play, have a bottle, brush teeth, read books, go to bed.  Every… day…

I’m just slightly bored.

But anyway…  Here are a few pictures…

She has been putting stuff on her head a lot lately.  Burp cloths, blankets, clothes that are lying around, hats, my headbands, etc…  Anyway.  It’s funny and cute.

I saw this hat sitting on the shelf in her room the other day and I wanted to see if it still fit.  (I believe it goes with a 3-6 month outfit.)  Obviously, it doesn’t.  Haha!  She looks silly with it on.  But she walked around with it on for a while.  And then she took it off and put it back on over and over again.

She went to Maw Maw and Paw Paw’s this afternoon because they bought her a toy.  Elmo.  So, she went for a ride in her toy wagon with her Elmo.  She takes up the whole thing so you can only see the wheels.  Too funny!

IMG_1970

Then she just decided out of nowhere to do the bear crawl thing.  This cracks me up!

IMG_1971

She has been fascinated with the lacey curtains at Maw Maw’s lately.  She gets behind them…

IMG_1974

And then she runs out!  It’s another kind of peek-a-boo!

IMG_1975

And then she pulled the curtain rod down… and she fled the crime scene.  Great action shot I think!  Haha!

IMG_1976

Then, I guess she thought that Paw Paw needed help putting it back up…

IMG_1977

Wait… no…  She decided to play some more!  Haha!

I might get bored sometimes…  But really… there isn’t a dull moment when she’s around!

100!

This is my 100th post!  Well… if you want to get technical… it’s my 200th post because my old blog has exactly 100 posts on it.  But…we will just count for this one!

Anyway.  Yay for me writing 100 posts in less than 4 months (on this blog)…  Can you say addicted to blogging???  Ha!

So… here’s the deal.  I’m going to let y’all ask me anything you want to know….within reason…and I will answer!  Good ole Q&A post!  I’ve seen lots of people doing it and I love reading them…so I thought I would jump on the band wagon.  :-)

And I know I don’t have tons of readers, so if I only get one or two questions…that’s ok!  I’ll answer it anyway!

If you want to ask me a question (or two), leave a comment on this post or in the Formspring thing on the left sidebar.

For those who don’t have a blog, you can still leave a comment!

And for the lurkers, come on out!  Don’t be scared!  I was a lurker once too.  (Still am on some blogs…haha!)

And last…. if you don’t want to ask a question in the comments, you can email your question(s) to me at (cgbloggymail) (@) (gmail) (.) (com)

Now, get to asking!!  :-)

Just stuff…

I’m bored…  Sweet Pea is napping and I should be cleaning, but we all know that I hate to clean!  Seriously though… I’ve got to do some major cleaning next week because we have more of my family coming for Sweet Pea’s first birthday than I thought were going to be able to make it!  I’m so excited!  They have never seen where we live so of course…they’ll probably want the grand tour….HAHAHA!!!  All 5 rooms of my itty bitty house!  That’s including the living room, kitchen (which is open to the living room), bathroom, Sweet Pea’s bedroom, and the hubs and my bedroom.  I really wish I knew the square footage of our house….

Anyway.  I did my Level 1 of BLCM last night along with the Firm Ab Sculpt.  I’m not as sore today as I was the past two days.  But I got on the scale this morning when I woke up and I was down 4 pounds!!!  I was super excited about that!!  I know I have a very long way to go, but it made me feel really good!  Like I wanted to go outside and run 5 miles to burn some more fat!  Haha!  Needless to say… I’m more motivated now that I know my weight is going down!

I turned the air on in our house for the first time this year today.  It was HOT this morning.  Now… I normally turn the heater on in Sweet Pea’s room at night since she doesn’t sleep with a blanket in her crib (scared she will get tangled and smother herself) and it tends to get chilly in the house at night, but after we got up from our morning nap, it was just a tad warm in here!  I guess the warm weather is here to stay…  :-/

Sweet Pea is more than likely going to get her 3rd tooth in before her birthday!  It is her top right front tooth.  I can see it just under her gums but it hasn’t broke through yet.  She has been fussy and chewing on everything!  Yay for more teeth!

I’m working on getting her birth announcement painted.  I think I’ve mentioned before… my sister was suppose to make one for her before she was born, but that didn’t happen.  And a year later…still don’t have it…  Grant, she has 3 children who are 9, 8, and 7 (I think… Gosh, they are growing up so fast I can’t keep up with it!) so I know she is busy.  Not to mention, she is a workaholic!!  So I decided to paint it myself.  And this is what I have so far….
IMG_1509
I think I’m going to do the middle background in white and then the words in brown…  Her bedroom is pink and brown…so…  I figured it would look good that way…  Anywho…  I’ll show you the finished product when I get it done.

I finished making her bows.  I might get a few more colors to make a few more…  I need to go through her closet and see what colors I’m missing first…  But here is what I made so far…
IMG_1521[1]
I kind of wish I had bought wider ribbon.  Most of them are made with 7/8 inch ribbon.  But I didn’t know…so I just got what I thought would look good.  Anyway… I guess it doesn’t matter because I have been having trouble keeping them in her hair.  She yanks them out as soon as I put one on her head.  She just wants to chew on it.  Haha.  Oh well….

And…because she hasn’t posted in forEVER…  I thought I would post a picture of her baby bump…since I have one on my phone…  :-)
IMG_1492
I went to have lunch with her the other day.  We took pictures of her baby bump since she hasn’t done so yet and she is now half way through her pregnancy.  And she found out yesterday that she is having a GIRL!  So excited!!!  I was hoping for a boy so we could have an arranged marriage for our first borns…but oh well.  (Only kidding about the arranged marriage! Haha!)  But I’m so happy that Sweet Pea will have a BFF come August!!!  I just hope that Sweet Pea and Charli (that’s what she is naming her) will be as close as Maranda and I have been!

Oh…almost forgot!  Sweet Pea now has white shoes for Easter/spring/summer!  My MIL found her two pair of Baby Dear shoes at Belk the other day.  I called the store that was suppose to order her shoes and they still have not come in!  I’m just a little frustrated about that because the girl told me they would be in before Easter.  Needless to say… I won’t be ordering anything from there again!  But here are her shoes…
IMG_1522
Yay for ALL WHITE SHOES!!!  :-)

Oh, and the dress that I got her to wear for Easter… she’s not going to wear it.  I was going through her closet the other day to find something for her to wear that day and I came across a 9 month bubble suit that someone bought her for one of my baby showers.  It has a bonnet and it’s pink and has the smocked thing going on… so I tried it on her to see if it fit…and it did!!!  It is tooo precious on her!  So, she is going to wear that for Easter.  I wish I had come across it before I bought the dress…  But oh well.  She can wear the dress all summer hopefully.  I’ll post a picture of her in her bonnet and bubble suit next week.

And I guess this post is long enough….so I’ll go for now!

I’m bored…

I know….  How can I be bored when I have a soon-to-be 11 month old running around??  Well, she is almost running!  I don’t know…  I just am...  I haven't blogged about our "real life" stuff lately...  I try not to blog about our "real life" stuff on the days I do blog hops, so....  Anyway...

I'm just bored today so I thought I would blog........

It's rainy and that's cool because I LOVE the rain!  I love watching it and listening to it.  I just don't like having to get out in it.  So, it's a good thing we have no where to go today.

Ok...now for some random thoughts...because I'm bored....

First...  I thought I had Sweet Pea Ferberized....  She was for a little while...and it was SOOOO nice!!!  I could give her a bottle at night and put her in her crib and read a book and turn the light out and walk away.  She might fuss a little, but she would be out in just a few minutes!!  And if she woke up at any point, I could just pop the paci in her mouth, lay her back down, and she would be out again!  SOOOO NICE!!!!  But I guess she has decided that she doesn't like being Ferberized!  She has been sleeping with me.....again.......because she would let me rock her to sleep (which I love!) and then after I lay her down, she wakes up 5 minutes later and will. not. go. back. to. sleep. unless she is in my bed.  So....she's sleeping with me again.  And it's not too bad.  Except for the fact that she flip flops around in the bed with me like she does in her crib!  Haha!  I woke up with her foot on my shoulder and I know she smacked me in the head at one point.  It's ok though because she is a good cuddle buddy!

I put a dress on Sweet Pea this morning that is sized 3-6 months.  She wore it last summer a few times and it swallowed her!  Haha.  She is almost 11 months old and it fits her perfectly now.  I didn't try the bloomers on since we are not going anywhere and it's one less thing I have to take off when changing her diaper, but I'm sure they will probably be too small...  Oh well.  It's cute and she can wear it around the house.  I just wonder who sizes baby clothes because they are all out of whack sometimes.....

I'm excited about next Friday!  My MIL and I are going to a UA Gymnastics meet!  I have wanted to go to a meet for years, but I just never took the time to look up the tickets and buy any.  Well, she mentioned wanting to go to one the other day, and it just so happens that they have ONE more home meet this season!  So I got online and we got tickets!  So excited!  I love gymnastics!  I used to take it when I was little and I stopped taking right before I learned how to do the back handsprings....UGH!  SO mad about that!  But it was for a good reason.  My mom decided to go back to school to become a nurse and my sister and I had to quit taking dance and gymnastics because we didn't have a way to and from class.  My mom was going to school in Thomasville, AL and we took gym and dance in Meridian, MS.  So...you can see how that wasn't going to work out.  But I'm glad my mom went to school and became a nurse.

I'm also excited about the weekend after that!  We are going to visit my sister and her kiddos on the MS gulf coast!  My youngest niece, Emily, is having her birthday party.  She will be 7 years old tomorrow!  Whoa!  That makes me feel soooo old!  Haha!  Anyway... I'm excited to go visit again because the last time we went down there was at Thanksgiving!

[I thought this was a cute picture because she had just woke up from her nap and she kept peeking her head around to look at me.]

[These pictures crack me up!  It was above 70 degrees the other day, so I took her out to play in the yard.  Maw Maw came out of the house and as soon as Sweet Pea heard her voice, she started crawling as fast as she could to get to her!  It was hilarious!  The funniest part was the way she was crawling.  She was doing this bear crawl thing…  Not on her knees because the dead grass obviously didn’t feel good on her knees, so she was crawling on her hands and feet.  TOO funny!  I wish I had gone and got the video camera.  I will be sure to grab it next time we go outside!!]

Oh, I’m kind of hating our new laptop…  Yeah….already?!  The mouse is a pain in my butt!  It does what it wants to half the time and it is always messing up everything!  I guess that’s what I get for buying cheap!  Haha.  Oh well…

Ok, I guess I’m done being bored…

Ready for spring??

I'm normally a fall/winter person.  Fall is my favorite time of year.  Second is winter.  Then spring.  Then summer.  I'm not a big fan of summer because of the heat and humidity down here in the south.  I sometimes think I'm a yankee trapped in the south...with a southern accent.  Anyway...

I'm kinda looking forward to spring and summer though.  Here are some of the reasons...

  • It will make it easier going on outings with my child.  Right now, if we go out somewhere, I have to put a jacket on her and then her car seat straps are too tight.  And then when I take the time to let them out a little (which is a pain in my rear), we get a warm spell for a few days...  Then I don't have to put a jacket on her and all that jazz and then the car seat straps are too loose....  Frustrating...  So, I'm just ready to not have to bundle her up when we go somewhere.
  • I'm tired of having to put pants on her every day.  She is very short for her age (just like me!) so every pair of pants are too long for her and she is constantly walking on her pants when she is cruising around the living room and when she crawls, you can't even see her feet because they are so far up in her pants.  It's kinda funny, but I just feel bad for her.
  • This goes along with the one above...  I'm ready to just let her wear a onesie all the time while we are at home because those things look soooo comfy!  Can I get some of those in my size??  Haha!
  • I'm ready to let her play outside!!!!!!  I personally don't mind being inside all day, especially in the warmer months (because I hate to sweat and I hate bugs and stuff...) but I think she gets stir crazy in here.  I can already tell she is going to love being outside.  When we go outside to the mail box or walk over to Maw Maw's, as soon as we get back inside, and I close the door, she starts throwing a fit!!!  And if I open the door again and let her look outside, she instantly stops crying.  *sigh*  At least I will have a decent tan this summer...
  • I'm ready to be able to get out and walk or jog without freezing my butt off.  I don't do this very often to begin with, but I really need to lose some weight!!!  I am still about 10 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight.  I was already overweight before I got pregnant, so I really don't want to be this big when I have my next baby.  I would like to lose at least 50 pounds before we start trying for another baby.  So, I really need it to warm up so Sweet Pea and I can go walking!!!!
  • I'm ready to dress Sweet Pea in her spring/summer clothes!  One good thing about the warmer months is the cute clothes!!!!  I just love all of them!!  I'm ready for rompers, sun dresses, flip flops, sandals, swimsuits...  She's going to be precious!  Can't wait!
  • And last but not least, I'm ready for her birthday!  It's in April.  She will be a year old.  It's so hard to believe.  I'm ready for it but also not ready for it in a way too.  She's growing up so fast and she isn't going to be a baby much longer.  It's sad, but exciting too.

Anyway...  Those are some of the reasons I'm ready for spring/summer.  I'm sure I could think of a few others, but oh well...  That's all that comes to mind right now.

Five Question Friday...

My Little Life

Mama M does Five Question Friday, and I thought I would join in this week...and maybe from now on...  We'll see...

Here's what you do:  She posts 5 questions...kinda like getting to know you questions... and then I answer them on my blog...  Fun, right?!  It gives you all a chance to get to know me better.  Here goes...

1. What are you most afraid of?

2. Do you use a flat iron or curling iron?

3. Hands-free or phone to the ear?

4. Do you have a matching bedroom set?

5. Do you believe in the paranormal?

--------------------------------------------

ANSWERS:

1. What are you most afraid of?

Death probably...  Not mine in particular, I mean that scares me too but, I just fear losing loved ones.  I don't deal with change very well and the thought of losing someone close to me and then having to adjust to every day living without them on top of that....it's just a little scary.  But I just hope and pray nothing like that happens!!!  Wow.....that was a little morbid...

Now, on a lighter note....  I am soooo scared of snakes!!!!  I have dreams about them attacking me sometimes.  *shivers*  And I'm really afraid of heights!  If you read my old blog, you will know that I had a huge panic attack when Mr. Right and I went to the top of the Vulcan on our anniversary last year.  He was scared he wasn't going to get me down from there because I just wouldn't even move when we got to the top.  I was seriously freaking out!  It's funny thinking about it now though...  Haha.

2. Do you use a flat iron or curling iron?

I don't use either really...  My hair is pretty straight on it's own, but if I want it really really straight, I'll use a flat iron.

3. Hands-free or phone to the ear?

If I'm not in public, I use my speaker phone.  I have a gel case thingy on my iPhone and it pulls my hair when I have it to my ear, so I never put it to my ear unless I'm in public.

4. Do you have a matching bedroom set?

Umm..NO!  I don't have matching furniture in any room of my house!  Haha!  I really look forward to the day when we can buy matching furniture, but it's just not on the top of our priority list right now.  Maybe one day...

5. Do you believe in the paranormal?

I'm just gonna skip this question this week because sometimes I'm not even sure I know what I believe when it comes to this stuff....  So I would probably just confuse everybody.

Anywho...  I hope y'all enjoyed learning something new about me!  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Lady GaGa hair…

Ok, so….I’m sure you have seen this hair do, right???

Well.... I decided to Google how to do Lady GaGa's hair-bow-hair-do just to see how it was done. Curiosity has always been a weakness of mine... So, I found several videos on the oh-so-wonderful YouTube. I love YouTube. And today I decided to give it a try myself! I have always had an interest in cosmetology...and I think I have found my calling! Ha! I’m totally going to be Lady GaGa’s hair stylist! LMBO!!!!

Seriously though….cosmetology my be my next move…..hmmmm….

Now, it’s not perfect….not as smooth looking as hers, but I think I did a pretty good job, for what it is…

Do keep in mind though… I would NEVER wear this out in public!!! Or would I??? I was just bored and decided to have a little fun… :-)
