Randoms… part two…

Ok, so I’m back.  I’m off work for a week and I am soooooooo happy about it!  I’m worn out!!!!!!  I figured I would get more sleep working nights, but that isn’t the case.  I didn’t realize how much effort it takes to get Sweet Pea up in the mornings and fed and dressed and IN A GOOD MOOD (she’s not a morning person and it takes her a little while to get good and awake… and happy)…  So, it takes a while for us to get to school.  I get off work at 6:30am and we are lucky to make it to school by 9:00!!!  Haha!!  My goal in the beginning of all of this was to drop her off at 8 every morning and be home and in bed by 9…  Bahahaha!!!!  Sleep until 3 (6 hours of sleep)… Pick her up by 4…  But that isn’t exactly how it goes.  Some days I don’t get to sleep until 10:30 or 11.  But anyway…  On with the bullets and randomness…

  • I have decided to do the lady bug theme for Sweet Pea’s birthday party.  I was looking up stuff on Etsy and I found lots of cute things with lady bugs.  (And I’m trying to steer away from so much pink in general… And if it wasn’t for the lady bugs, we would probably be having a pink and black zebra party!  Haha!)  I have ordered her birthday outfit.  It think it’s going to be adorable!!!!!  I’m super excited about it.  I’m about to order her invitations so I can get them out in the next couple of weeks.  I think I’ve decided to just have it outside here at our house, if the weather permits.  If not, we will probably take it inside at Maw Maw’s since her house is bigger than ours.  So, I’m getting excited about her birthday stuff finally.  :-)
  • She is counting to 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Believe it or not… I was shocked myself!!  I was going to do a video of it tonight, but she was in an ill mood (I’ll explain that in a minute…)  So, I will try to get that tomorrow or sometime this week.
  • Her ill mood tonight…  I have decided it’s time to take the pacifier away.  I took it away from her when I got her from school today.  She asked for it on the way home, but I told her it had to go bye bye and she was a big girl!  She fussed a little, but I started singing to her and getting her to count for me and she forgot about it until we got home.  She was in the floor flopping around fussing for it at one point.  But I was strong and held my ground.  I didn’t give it to her until I put her in bed tonight and she pretty much went to bed instantly!  (She didn’t nap much at school today.)  I’m going to wean her off of it at night.
  • As far as school is going, we keep getting a better report every day.  They have changed teachers a couple of times, so I think that kind of threw her off a little.  I think they have a really good one in there right now though.  For a little while there, every time I checked the cameras, she would be crying and begging the teacher to pick her up and it just broke my heart.  But in the past few days with the new teacher, I have actually seen her down playing some, so that makes me feel much better.  Her new teacher has two young children of her own and seems to be very loving and caring (not that the teacher before that wasn’t).  But the other teacher doesn’t have children of her own and doesn’t have that motherlyness to her (<----how do you like my new word?!  Ha!).  So I think that made a big difference.  The owners of the school were thinking the same thing before I ever mentioned anything to them about it and were contemplating changing teachers anyway.  So I’m kind of glad they changed teachers.  I’m also going to send her 5 days a week for the next 2 or 3 weeks (starting Monday) to see if going every day is going to help get her used to it quicker.  I hate to send her when I’m off work, but I might just do it for half a day on my off days.  So anyway…  I’ll keep y’all posted on that!

I guess I’ve rambled enough for now.

November iPhone pictures…

I don’t even know where to begin…

So… I think I’m like a month behind on pictures, because we got Halloween covered… right?!  So, I’ll just post all of my iPhone pictures from November.  Well… not all of them…. but this is most of them.

This is how Maw Maw lets my child run around the house sometimes…

IMG_3261

Just a cute picture of my girl…

IMG_3265

We went to vote a few weeks ago and we stopped by to see Maranda while we were in town.

IMG_3272

IMG_3273

She was trying to get Sweet Pea to say her name, but she wouldn’t do it for her.  Haha!

IMG_3275

IMG_3278

Too bad baby Charli wasn’t there to be in the picture.  :-(

IMG_3282

Sweet Pea and I stopped by my old work place to grab a bite to eat.  We were going to Target afterwards, so I just decided to eat in the truck before going in.  I thought it would be easier than trying to keep her attention in a crowded restaurant in order to get her to eat…  So she was climbing around the front seat while I was trying to feed her and she somehow fell in the floor board.  It was funny… to me!  Ha!

IMG_3289

I went to Christmas Village a few weeks ago and got Sweet Pea a few things.  She took my bags away from me and was carrying them around.

IMG_3303

Can I just say that I love having a little girl!!!  I love dressing her up in cute clothes.  I just thought she was adorable in this dress with her furry boots.

IMG_3308

And this one too!  I love it.

IMG_3343

My MIL has this little cast iron kitchen thing.  It’s actually really cute.  Sweet Pea loves to play with it when she is over there.

IMG_3367

IMG_3370

My MIL had her a chair full!!  Sweet Pea, Precious, and Jamima (Jamima kind of blends in with the couch….)

IMG_3377

Sweet Pea watching Precious eat…  This was before the grooming.

IMG_3384

IMG_3388

Apparently Maw Maw and Paw Paw let Sweet Pea play with pens over there because I noticed this one night when we were eating supper….

IMG_3402

Men are so crazy…  This is what Sweet Pea was wearing one day when I came home from work.  What was he thinking?!?!

IMG_3419

Sweet Pea is getting her head massaged.  Haha!

IMG_3428

Yes… she has her finger up her nose…  I know… gross.

IMG_3430

IMG_3437

Her art work…

IMG_3443

Do you see my little monkey???  Yeah… she climbed up there all by herself….

IMG_3445

Needless to say… we brought it down lower.  We will be getting a new smaller entertainment center in the near future.

IMG_3473

My sweet baby was all tuckered out from a day of shopping… she fell asleep reading her book.

IMG_3448

And then she woke up when I stopped to get gas and decided it was Cookie Monster time!

IMG_3449

This is the last time Sweet Pea was in her crib.  We decided to take it down and make it into a full size bed.  Why, you ask?  Well, first of all… she doesn’t sleep in it anyway.  Secondly, I wanted to make more room for her to be able to play in her room.  And thirdly, with Christmas just around the corner, she’s going to need more space for new toys she’s getting.

IMG_3460

So, down it went…

IMG_3462

And I know it doesn’t look like there is more room, but there kind of is…  Her play pen is serving as a toy box.  I left her crib mattress in the floor for her to sit on when she wants to look at her books.  (I plan on getting a chair for her room soon… maybe a birthday present?)

IMG_3488

I finally hung up her bow holder.  Although… the birth announcement is still NOT painted on it.  AHHHH!!  Maybe one day I will get around to it…  I just really hate my handwriting.  Anyway… I painted the shelf in the right side of the picture.  It was white (see below) and it was mine when I was a little girl.  I’m so glad that my little girl is being able to use it!  I still need to paint the dresser…

IMG_3489

Sweet Pea is loving on her glowy seahorse.  She’s such a sweetie.

IMG_3472

This was the before of the shelf.  I painted it brown to go with her bed.

IMG_3474

I was trying to get a few pictures of Sweet Pea in the leaves… but she didn’t care to cooperate that day…

IMG_3492

IMG_3499

I thought this was the sweetest thing.  She brought me this picture and sat it in my lap and just looked at it for a little while.  I assumed she was trying to tell me she missed her cousins…  :-)

IMG_3512

She was trying to help me fold clothes… Haha.

IMG_3518

Her little tree for her bedroom.  I had to argue with Mr. Right about getting this.

IMG_3521

Sweet Pea was taking the ornaments off of our tree…

IMG_3526

This reminds me of Cameron Diaz on Something about Mary.  Haha!!!  Sweet Pea got food in her hair during breakfast and I didn’t feel like giving her a bath since I had already given her one last night so, I just got a wet wash cloth and ran it all over her head.  Haha!

IMG_3530

This is our tree this year!  :-)  I decided to go with red ornaments this year instead of my usual purple.  I like it a lot.  But I had to move all the ornaments up high so Sweet Pea wouldn’t take them off!  Ha!  Isn’t this the way it’s supposed to look when you have a toddler????

IMG_3551

Just me and my sweet baby.

IMG_3555

Sweet Pea likes to sit on the vacuum and let Paw Paw push her around.

IMG_3556

My silly girl…

IMG_3560

She was helping herself to the sweet potato pie.

IMG_3562

She was exhausted when we went to Wal-Mart the other week.  She didn’t even wake up when I got her out of the car, so we just made her a bed in the shopping cart.  She slept the whole time we were in there and woke up as we were checking out.

IMG_3565

Uncle Jerome came for Thanksgiving.  He took her to Claire’s and bought her a Dora necklace and bracelet.  She loves that thing.  Haha!

Lesson learned #5478…

What happens when you spray OxyClean stain remover stuff on clothing and then forget about it for a week and then remember about it and then wash it????

Well I’ll show you…

SDC14941

It eats the fabric.

Yep…  this happened to several items of clothing.  Luckily, they were play clothes and pajamas, but still….  It made me mad.

And that’s why God made BIBS!!!!!

If people (including myself sometimes) would put a bib on my child when she eats… I wouldn’t have to use a whole freaking bottle of this stuff every time I do her laundry.

I’m just sayin’…..

New teeth and pictures… of course!

Ok, before I forget… Let me announce that Sweet Pea has 10 teeth as of right now!!!  TEN!!  They must have all came through at the same time because the last time I checked she only had 5!  And the other day I noticed that the 6th tooth had FINALLY come through… (the one that I have been expecting to break through for the past 2 months).  Well, I thought I saw something in her mouth, so I felt over to the side and I felt another tooth (I think it’s a molar?)  I was so shocked…  I started feeling around some more and I counted 10 all together!  Wow!  I thought she was never going to get any more teeth.  Haha!

Anywho…  I just wanted to let y’all know.

Now on to pictures…

I’m not sure what this face is all about… but I thought it was funny and cute.

SDC14839

This is what she looks like when she isn’t getting her way and she’s about to throw a fit!  We have been seeing this a lot lately…  Terrible twos early????

SDC14842

Love those big brown eyes!

SDC14848

This is her “I know you told me not to do this… but I’m doing it anyway… and whatcha gonna do about it?!” face…  I’ve been seeing this a lot lately too…  Oh dear….

SDC14855

I did not crop the picture above and below so that you can’t see how dusty the table in our bedroom is…  Just sayin’…  :-)

SDC14856

After bath time…

SDC14868

Sleepy girl…  but she didn’t go to sleep very easily that night.

SDC14881

Her little shopping cart came with some plastic groceries…  She likes to suck on the steak sauce and ketchup bottles…

SDC14892

She likes to share too!  How sweet!

SDC14894

The other night, we let McDonald’s cook because I forgot to put something out to thaw, the dishes were dirty, and because I just didn’t feel like cooking anyway… (I’m so tired of eating the same ole stuff anyway.  I need some new recipes!!!!)  So… we went through the drive-thru and picked up supper.

Sweet Pea has become a fan of the cheeseburger.  I was really shocked that she ate it because she doesn’t like hamburger meat in spaghetti or other stuff I cook.  But she enjoyed the cheeseburger from McDonald’s.

IMG_2568

I did feed her some veggies too so she wasn’t eating all junk food… just fyi…  ;-)

And since she has these new teeth…  I thought I’d try out some apples with her today after lunch.  (I’m not sure about this face either…)

IMG_2578

She liked the apples!

IMG_2580

And mommy is so proud!  :-)  I’m hoping she will start eating more “real” food now that she is getting more teeth.
