Randomness… (monkey, ants, fashion, peas, etc…)

Remember me telling you a couple of weeks ago that I have a monkey?

Well… she’s still climbing on everything.  And because of this… we had to rearrange the living room… again.  As you can see in the first few pictures, the couch is on the half wall that is separating the kitchen and living room.  Sweet Pea thinks it’s so fun to climb up the couch and get her sippy cups and bottles and salt and pepper and other spices that are on a shelf on the other side of the half wall.

But Mommy and Daddy don’t like this.  Now, don’t get me wrong… we laughed the first few times she did this because she is just so darn cute!  But we have to think about her safety.  If she falls down into the kitchen, she could get hurt really bad… or it could even kill her!  From what I understand… that floor is straight up cement under that tile.

Anywho…  Wednesday, while I was trying to get supper started, she kept climbing up there.  So… after I put her down 5,758 times… and then flipped out on her… Mr. Right and I decided to rearrange the living room…

So, now the couch is on the opposite wall and the recliner is over by the half wall.  It seems to be working just fine.  She doesn’t climb in the recliner much.  Now the only problem is that she likes to lean over the arm of the couch… So I’m going to get one of the couch pillows to keep on the floor JUST IN CASE she flips over it.  At least it will be a soft landing.  Haha!

 

 

I came home from work one day last week and Maw Maw said that I was going to whoop her and Paw Paw…  Sweet Pea got in to ants while I was at work that day…  :-(

Her poor little feet and ankles were covered in bites!!  She had a few up on her legs too, but they were mostly on her feet.  Luckily though, she never once scratched at them or cried about it.  It never seemed to bother her!!  I was very thankful of that!  They have dried up now and she just has little scabs in some places.  Paw Paw said he wasn’t taking her outside NO MORE!  Haha!  (I would hope not considering the heat index has been over 100 degrees lately!!!)

Anyway!  The other night Mr. Right bathed her and got her ready for bed and I just laughed and laughed at what he put on her!

Isn’t that the funniest thing!  Haha!  I was just glad he was dressing her for bed and not to go out in public!!

I thought this was funny too.  She had her big dog that we got her for Valentine’s Day and she was pulling it’s hair out.  Ha!  I thought it was hilarious.  It was almost as if she was searching for fleas on it.  Haha!

Oh!  And I forgot to mention last week that I bought her a potty a couple of weeks ago.  I know some of you are thinking… “She’s not old enough to potty train!”  But I bought it to have just whenever she is ready.  So, lately I have been sitting her on it every now and then to see what she does.  She just kind of sits there for about a minute and then she gets up and starts taking the potty apart.  Haha.  But this morning, as soon as she woke up, I ran in and took her to the potty and she sat there for a little bit and the next thing I know… SHE’S PEE PEEING IN THE POTTY!!!

I was so excited!!!  Now… I know this might not happen again for a while, but ya gotta start somewhere!! 

I don’t know if she understood what she was doing, but I showed her that she pee’d and she went to reach her hand in the potty, but I stopped her before she touched it.  Haha! 

Anyway… it’s there whenever she decides she is ready to train.

I also bought her some Pull Ups the other day because I thought it would be easier for training, and they obviously give her a wedgie.  Haha!  Her little butt cheek is always hanging out on one side.  Ha!

Here she is enjoying a Mrs. Field’s chocolate chip cookie!  YUM!  Those things are sooooo good!  She only ate half of it… I finished the rest!  Ha!  I told her that, in this household, we don’t waste chocolate!  ;-)

We were over at Maw Maw and Paw Paw’s the other day shelling peas.  Well… let me rephrase that… Sweet Pea and Paw Paw were playing and me and Maw Maw were shelling peas!  Ha!

Sweet Pea decided to “help” us at some point…  What a cutie!

Pictures from Sunday and Monday…

I just wanted to post a few pictures from Sunday and Monday (obviously).  My Mom, Dad, and Blake (my nephew) came to spend the night.  Blake had gone on a church trip over the weekend, so they picked him up and came to have some good ole family time!  I wish that Emily and Olivia (my nieces) could have been here too.

I just love this little outfit that I got from Target.  It’s too cute on her!

Blake was pushing her around on her little car.  I just loved seeing them play together.  She really enjoyed her cousin Blake!

Nana let her play some games on her iPhone.

Papaw tried to get her to take a nap with him, but she just laid there for a little bit.

Blake was glued to the tv playing the Playstation most of the time.

Sweet Pea was giving him sugar on his shoulder.  So sweet!

That child is sooooo dark!!!  He has indian in him and he stays in the pool when he is at home.

He gave her a controller so she could play too.

I thought this was hilarious.  He got her little chair to sit in.

How cute is this!  He’s such a sweet cousin!

 

Sweet Pea wanted to go outside before we left to go to the doctor Monday.  He walked around outside with her.

Daddy was guarding the door at the doctor’s office.  Haha.  We were waiting for them to bring her shots.  :-(

Today is my last day off before I go back to work for 7 days…..  Ugh!!!!!!  I’m already ready for my off days and I haven’t made it to work yet!  Haha!  Hopefully it will go by fast… but I doubt it.  Y’all might or might not hear from me this week.  Just depends on how tired I am.  But until then… Have a great week!

15 months old!

This is going to be mostly pictures because I’m tired, I have a headache, and I just want to go to bed.  So…  here’s a quick update on Sweet Pea.

She’s 20 pounds and 28 1/2 inches tall.  She is in the 10th percentile on weight, so they aren’t concerned right now… but if she doesn’t start gaining more weight, they will look into it more…??  I’m not sure what that means…  But I told them she is just so active.  And she is!!!  Gosh, the child just goes and goes and goes!  But she eats plenty, in my opinion.  I told them we have more problems getting liquids in her than we do food.  So, they said to just try to get her to drink more milk and water.  But anyway.  She’s still short… like me.  But what can ya do?  Stretch her???  Haha! 

Anyway, everything else looked good.  They didn’t really say anything about how she is doing developmentaly (is that a word?), so I guess she is right on track with everything.  (We saw a different doctor in the same practice, so I guess he does things differently than our normal doctor.)  So… that’s the gist of it.
